Crafted for a reimagined Amtrak dining car, designed by Yuying Zhu, co/ 2024, Mine to Yours is a tabletop collection merges hardwood with industrial elegance. Each cherry wood charger frames a stamped sheet metal insert, creating a warm yet resilient surface for modern rail dining. The contrast between organic grain and engineered metal reflects the tension between motion and stillness, inviting travelers to slow down, connect, and savor the journey. Designed with durability, ritual, and refined utility in mind, this collection honors the golden age of train travel while pointing toward its future.
These are lathed cherry prototypes with finished 3D printed inserts, mimicking sheet metal. Made for a tabletop design studio.
